Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Medical Information Technology Operations Lead reports to the Executive Director of Global Medical Affairs Technology. This pivotal role drives delivery of Medical Information technologies supporting end-to-end inquiry intake, case management, fulfillment, and performance measurement. Partnering with Medical Information, Medical Affairs, IT, and call center teams, you'll implement scalable, compliant systems like Veeva Med Inquiry, Veeva Vault, and MedDocs. In a matrixed environment, you'll align platforms to service levels, regulations, and metrics while adapting to evolving needs in Gilead's fight against devastating diseases.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation, enhancement, and support of Medical Information systems enabling inquiry intake, triage, response development, fulfillment, and closure across channels like call centers, digital, and field requests. Own the product roadmap by managing internal demand, external benchmarking, and technical evaluations. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into optimized workflows, including case routing, SLAs, escalations, and audit readiness. Standardize templates, operating models, reporting, and governance across regions. Provide project leadership for high-impact implementations, ensuring scope, timelines, validation, and risk management. Serve as SME on platforms, balancing performance, scalability, data integrity, and usability.

Strategic Partnership and Innovation

Cultivate tool advocacy with senior leaders, advise on enterprise platforms, and deliver data-driven insights. Focus initially on Veeva technologies while adapting to future Medical Affairs evolutions, supporting Gilead's advancements in HIV prevention, oncology therapies, and inflammatory disease treatments.

Qualifications & Requirements

Success demands a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or equivalent, plus 10+ years in pharmaceutical IT, Medical Affairs, or Medical Information operations. Proven track record leading Veeva Med Inquiry, Veeva Vault, or similar platforms is essential. Expertise in regulatory compliance (e.g., GxP, data privacy), project management (PMP preferred), and matrixed stakeholder engagement. Strong analytical skills for process optimization, workflow design, and KPI measurement. Experience in call center integrations and affiliate operations across global regions highly valued.
