Role Overview

The Senior Principal, HRBP for Finance & Strategy at Nike in Shanghai operates at the critical intersection of business strategy, organizational design, and talent management. Reporting to the Senior Director, HRBP for Global Finance, Strategy, Growth Initiatives & Procurement, you'll partner with executive leaders across GC Finance, Strategy, GPS, and Procurement. Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate with business units, Global Business HR (BHR), Centers of Excellence (COEs), and People Solutions to integrate and execute HR people and talent strategies. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing solutions, thought partnership, and business talent strategies to senior leaders in Finance and Strategy.
• Communicating, executing, and delivering key HR programs, best practices, and people solutions to geo teams.
• Offering strategic consultation and coaching to executive and corporate leaders on organizational issues that drive business growth.
• Leading or partnering on Org Design/Effectiveness, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Total Rewards initiatives.
• Setting and spearheading organizational effectiveness, efficiency, design projects, and multi-year talent strategies during periods of realignment and growth.

Strategic Influence and Change Leadership

Thrive in ambiguity as an HR change agent, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and strong executive communication skills across all organizational levels. Influence without authority to build trusted advisor relationships with business leaders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Nike seeks a passionate HR leader with a proven track record in high-impact environments. Essential qualifications include:

• 10+ years of demonstrated business-facing HR experience in HRBP, HR Generalist, and/or HR COE roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
• Experience supporting executive leaders in complex organizations, with well-developed industry knowledge, market insight, and enterprise thinking.
• Demonstrated partnerships with business leaders as a trusted advisor and coach, especially managing significant organizational change through influencing.
• Proven experience in organizational effectiveness, design initiatives, and multi-year talent strategies.

Key Competencies

Strong presentation skills, executive presence, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, global organization are non-negotiable. Knowledge of retail/tech sector dynamics in China is highly valued.
