Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Become the definitive subject matter expert on log collection, processing, and petabyte-scale storage architectures.
• Own the complete roadmap for log management features optimized for AI research and distributed ML training workflows.
• Build innovative capabilities for trend analysis, A/B experiment comparison, forecasting, anomaly detection, and sampling-based approximate analysis.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering and design to ship end-to-end experiences spanning ingestion, querying, exploration, and advanced analytics.
• Work directly with customers – AI researchers, ML engineers, and platform teams – to map workflows, validate hypotheses, and deliver repeatable solutions.
• Drive product strategy that positions Datadog as the best logs platform for AI applications.
• Champion technical architecture discussions, trade-offs, and scalability considerations with senior engineers.
• Enable AI/ML teams to leverage logs for distributed training debugging, experiment tracking, and rapid iteration cycles.
• Continuously iterate based on real-world usage to handle ever-growing petabyte-scale log volumes.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll bring a rare combination of technical depth, product leadership, and AI domain expertise:

• Proven technical PM experience: Independently defined strategy and executed SaaS products or data streaming services.
• Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience building scalable systems.
• 5+ years in product management within AI, security, analytics, or observability – experience with log management platforms like Splunk or analytics tools like Tableau/Looker is ideal.
• Deep technical foundation: Distributed systems, data pipelines, query optimization, and analytics workflows.
• AI/ML workflow expertise: Familiarity with distributed training, experimentation pipelines, PyTorch/Spark/TensorFlow telemetry, and experiment tracking tools.
• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and customer obsession – comfortable debating architectures with engineers.

Salary & Benefits
