Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Own the product vision and roadmap for OpenTelemetry Collectors, driving strategic direction for Datadog's telemetry ingestion.
• Define enterprise-grade experiences for deploying, configuring, and scaling OTel Collectors to meet customer needs.
• Partner directly with customers to deeply understand their telemetry collection requirements and pain points.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build performant, reliable, and secure telemetry collectors that scale.
• Represent Datadog in the OpenTelemetry community, contributing to standards and fostering ecosystem growth.
• Establish and track success metrics for the product, reporting on adoption, performance, and customer impact.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams for short- and long-term delivery.
• Shape observability at scale by ensuring open standards power modern cloud-native environments.
• Enable customers to confidently instrument their applications with OTel for traces, metrics, and logs.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as our Senior Product Manager - OpenTelemetry Collectors, you'll bring:

• 5–8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in infrastructure, observability, telemetry, or developer platforms.
• Strong technical depth in distributed systems, agents/collectors, telemetry pipelines, and the OpenTelemetry ecosystem.
• Proven track record driving cross-functional initiatives from ideation to launch.
• Exceptional communication and influence skills with engineering, design, and GTM partners.
• Customer-centric mindset with analytical skills and comfort engaging technical users.
• Passion for open source, cloud-native technologies, and community engagement.
