The MongoDB Product Security team is a diverse group responsible for securing our core MongoDB Database Server (Community and Enterprise Advanced editions). We work multidisciplinary across product, software, cloud, infrastructure, and operational security to protect customer data. As a Senior Product Security Engineer, you'll strengthen MongoDB's resonance with customers by solving hard security engineering problems while emphasizing customer experience. Collaborate with teams to innovate pragmatic solutions using NoSQL database security best practices.
Key Responsibilities at MongoDB
- Own and strategize security program improvements in fuzzing, threat modeling, secrets management, and container security for MongoDB Server.
- Lead complex security projects from inception to completion, advocating for MongoDB's security posture.
- Drive architecture and processes across Server Engineering to make security the path of least resistance.
- Partner with engineering teams to design and implement robust security controls in MongoDB software and systems.
- Research new attacks and conduct product security assessments: architecture reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, pen testing, and security consulting.
- Serve as SME for software security and architecture in MongoDB's tech stack, including C++ low-level codebases.
- Educate engineers via CTFs, lunch-and-learns, and mentorship to build a developer-driven security culture.
