Join Datadog's Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) in Paris, France as a Senior Security Engineer. This critical role defends Datadog's cloud infrastructure against sophisticated cybersecurity threats while protecting customer data trust. You'll triage alerts, respond to incidents, build automation tools, and drive continuous security improvements through cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

  • Partner with Cyber Threat Intelligence and Detection Engineering teams to identify emerging threats targeting Datadog infrastructure
  • Triage escalated alerts from Datadog Cloud SIEM and other detection systems to determine incident validity
  • Serve as incident commander or responder during security incidents, coordinating cross-functional response efforts
  • Develop Python and Go tools/automations to eliminate repetitive incident response tasks
  • Lead post-incident reviews, tabletop exercises, and purple team activities to strengthen defenses
  • Participate in light on-call rotation with comprehensive support and compensation
  • Improve detection coverage for cloud-native threats (Kubernetes, containers, IAM abuse)
  • Document runbooks and processes to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement security requirements in CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years in security incident response, threat hunting, SecOps, cloud security, or operational security
  • Deep experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure plus Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
  • Expertise in cloud threat actor TTPs (living-off-the-land, container escapes, IAM persistence)
  • Experience building incident response tools with Python, Go, or similar languages
  • Strong analytical skills using diverse datasets (logs, metrics, traces, network flows)
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, collaborative environment with on-call responsibilities
