Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Design, build, and maintain continuous delivery pipelines using Argo Workflows and ArgoCD for seamless code deployment from dev to production.
• Contribute to developing a world-class continuous deployment experience, enabling rapid and reliable shipment of MongoDB products worldwide.
• Develop Kubernetes operators and open-source contributions to streamline deployment processes and enhance scalability.
• Own the complete onboarding flow that other engineering teams follow when launching new products or services on our platform.
• Collaborate closely with Platform Engineering teams to deliver consistent, self-service service-onboarding experiences across multi-cloud environments.
• Provide expert internal support for deployment systems, troubleshooting issues, answering queries, and driving resolutions.
• Participate in our 24/7 on-call rotation to maintain uptime for critical deployment infrastructure supporting MongoDB Atlas.
• Optimize resource utilization in Kubernetes clusters across AWS, GCP, and Azure for MongoDB's globally distributed NoSQL database.
• Implement observability, alerting, and automation to eliminate operational toil and foster a culture of efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal Senior SRE, Deployments candidate brings proven expertise in modern DevOps practices tailored to high-scale environments like MongoDB's.

• 6+ years in software development and operating distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar languages for building robust automation tools.
• Hands-on experience building and operating large-scale CI/CD pipelines with GitOps principles.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes container orchestration, enhancing application agility and time-to-market.
• Strong cloud platform knowledge across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure.
• Advanced understanding of Linux internals, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing), and service mesh technologies.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for efficiency and automation over manual processes.
