Role Overview

Join Datadog's AI Platform team as a Senior Software Engineer - AI Platform in Paris or Sophia Antipolis, France. Own the entire AI stack from distributed training infrastructure powering our SOTA time series foundation models to frameworks driving Bits AI, LLM Observability, and next-gen generative AI experiences. We're expanding beyond model creation to production-grade GenAI tooling including retrieval-augmented pipelines, autonomous agents, and evaluation harnesses.

Deliver large-scale experimentation, training, deployment, monitoring, developer toolchains for agents, and low-latency serving infrastructure plugging AI into every Datadog product.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable MLOps tools and infrastructure supporting data scientists (model training & serving infra, CI/CD, orchestration, deployment)
• Create a development ecosystem enabling rapid experimentation and deployment of AI algorithms
• Stay on the cutting edge of MLOps development and document best practices across teams
• Drive technical growth of Machine Learning as distributed capability spanning all Datadog product areas
• Leverage Datadog's observability expertise to contribute back to the MLOps community
• Build low-latency serving infrastructure integrating AI features across Datadog products
• Partner with Applied AI, product, and core infrastructure teams for end-to-end delivery
• Develop developer toolchains for autonomous agents and GenAI applications
• Enable large-scale experimentation, training, deployment, and monitoring at Datadog scale

Qualifications & Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning or related scientific field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years professional experience building distributed systems, data science applications, and/or machine learning engineering
• Proven ability to architect, build, and operate distributed systems solving problems at high scale
• Extensive experience executing projects spanning data engineering, data science, and machine learning
• Ship fast, route around blockers, comfortable working with ambiguity
• Full-stack engineering mindset - jump into any part of the stack to move projects forward
