Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Architect and implement automated testing frameworks validating functional equivalence between source and target databases
• Lead development of LLM-powered unit test generation tools integrated into developer workflows
• Design contract testing frameworks ensuring API compatibility during modernization projects
• Build state comparison algorithms with pattern-based exclusions for complex data validation
• Implement change data capture mechanisms using MongoDB change streams and RDBMS triggers
• Contribute production-grade code to MongoDB's modernization infrastructure stack
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, engineering, and design teams
• Drive CI/CD pipeline improvements and testing quality across distributed systems

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in database modernization and testing frameworks:

• 6+ years commercial software development with Java/Spring Boot (JVM languages required)
• Proven experience integrating LLMs for automated unit test generation and edge-case discovery
• Expertise in application modernization frameworks ensuring database state equivalence
• Deep knowledge of change data capture, MongoDB listeners, RDBMS triggers, and CDC patterns
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL/MySQL, JDBC/JPA, and data modeling
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system complexity analysis
