Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Work closely with research, product management, product engineering, product design, and cross-functional teams to define the first version and future evolution of our AI platform service.
• Design, build, and deliver well-tested core pieces of the platform in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Contribute to shaping architecture, conduct code reviews, establish development practices, and enhance developer experience as teams scale.
• Mentor fellow engineers while assuming full ownership and accountability of high-impact projects.
• Develop cutting-edge technologies enabling deployment at scale for AI applications powered by MongoDB.
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed systems infrastructure.
• Identify complex problems in distributed systems or databases and implement innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years experience building distributed systems and/or foundational cloud services at scale, with interest in Python, Go, and Java.
• Strong background in core components for high-scale compute and data distributed systems.
• Proven track record designing, writing, testing, debugging, performance tuning, and maintaining distributed/highly concurrent software in large codebases.
• Demonstrated success identifying problems, implementing solutions, and delivering complex projects in distributed systems or databases.
• Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Experience with containerization/orchestration (Kubernetes), AI frameworks/tools, and MongoDB/NoSQL.
• Eager to learn with strong computer science fundamentals.
• Based in Gurugram for hybrid working model.
