Key Responsibilities at MongoDB
- Contribute to all phases of customer application modernization: assessment, analysis, planning, design, data modeling, code conversion, development, testing, integration, release, operations, optimization, and best practices.
- Test drive MongoDB migration products for customer use cases, ensuring adoption and delivering actionable feedback to R&D.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to shape the MongoDB product roadmap based on real-world insights.
- Execute POCs on-premises at client sites, developing reusable tools for customer success and product integration.
- Maintain expertise in MongoDB technologies, NoSQL protocols, and enterprise architectures.
- Partner with Professional Services, project managers, and sales in delivery teams.
- Assist sales in opportunity evaluation for prospects using MongoDB Atlas and ecosystem tools.
- Build and apply Generative AI tools in modernization projects, identifying deployment opportunities and selecting 3rd-party integrations.
- Facilitate AI toolchain adoption to revolutionize software development with MongoDB.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 4+ years as field engineer, consultant, or full stack developer with Enterprise clients.
- Proficiency in Java or C#, database patterns, and frameworks.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architectures, dev methodologies, deployment, and ops.
- Experience with relational DBs (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, PostgreSQL) using SQL/stored procedures.
- MongoDB and JSON document model experience highly desirable.
- Strong Generative AI understanding; hands-on with Cursor, Claude, Gemini, OpenAI a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, communication skills.
- Interest in AI-enhanced toolchains for app dev.

- Experience developing enterprise applications using relational databases like Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase, or PostgreSQL with SQL and stored procedures (experience)
- Experience using and developing with MongoDB and JSON-based Document models (highly desirable) (experience)
- Good understanding of Generative AI concepts, tools, and services including Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini, and OpenAI APIs (experience)
