Role Overview

Join MongoDB's Atlas Identity and Access Management (IAM) team as a Senior Software Engineer in Toronto, Ontario. Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

  • Design and architect core IAM components for MongoDB Atlas authentication and authorization.
  • Lead projects end-to-end, from technical specification to production delivery.

  • Improve codebase with modern best practices, design principles, and scalability optimizations.
  • Define priorities and execute against them to advance the team's mission.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years backend software engineering experience with compiled languages (Java, Go, C#, C++).
  • Willingness to master JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend tech (React, Redux).
  • Experience in IAM: OAuth, SSO, RBAC, ABAC, login/registration systems (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Curious, empathetic, collaborative mindset with passion for problem-solving.
  • Proven track record leading projects in high-scale environments.
