Join Datadog's Windows and Mac Products team as a Senior Software Engineer, macOS Specialist in Bordeaux or Grenoble, France. We're expanding our observability platform into End User Device Monitoring (EUDM) and Digital Employee Experience (DEX), providing IT admins with a single pane of glass for fleet health management. Build native, low-level telemetry tools treating macOS as a first-class citizen, bridging hardware performance, network connectivity, and application stability without additional agents.

Key Responsibilities at Datadog

• Design, implement, and own macOS Agent-based integrations for comprehensive system, network, and security monitoring.
• Leverage core macOS technologies like Swift, Objective-C, and system frameworks to build deeply integrated observability features.
• Lead full-cycle feature development: from researching Apple framework changes to deployment across diverse fleets.
• Solve complex problems at the intersection of systems programming, distributed telemetry, endpoint observability, and security.
• Profile and optimize software to deliver deep visibility without compromising battery life or productivity.
• Influence product roadmap, plan high-impact projects, and mentor engineers on macOS initiatives.
• Ensure feature parity and operational excellence across the entire observability stack for Windows and macOS.
• Navigate macOS privacy models (TCC), LaunchDaemons/Agents, and notarization for compliant, scalable deployments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years systems-level application development with strong OS internals, architecture, and runtime expertise.
• Proven experience shipping production macOS software at enterprise scale.
• Deep hands-on with native macOS APIs, system services, inter-process communication, and Apple compliance.
• Expertise in C/C++, Objective-C, Swift and macOS toolchains (notarization, pkg builders).
• Track record owning features in high-growth, fast-paced environments building customer-focused products.
• Passion for solving IT Ops and Help Desk challenges through reliable observability data.
