Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Design and architect scalable, high-performance applications and infrastructure for large-scale software projects using MongoDB's modern data platform.
• Provide expert customer advising on MongoDB architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and clearly articulate business value to C-level stakeholders.
• Partner with sales executives on account planning and opportunity prioritization, owning all technical aspects from discovery and demos to proofs of value and sizing.
• Drive demand generation through self-initiated technical campaigns, industry trade shows, and targeted account-based marketing events in the Stuttgart region.
• Build strong customer relationships, create technical champions, and ensure ongoing success with MongoDB deployments.
• Innovate continuously by relaying real-world feedback to MongoDB product teams and mentoring fellow Solutions Consulting team members.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, deliver compelling presentations, and produce comprehensive documentation for enterprise opportunities.
• Strategize multi-threaded account plans, aligning MongoDB ecosystem partners and resources for maximum impact.
• Commit to personal growth through ongoing training on the latest MongoDB features and industry trends like AI/ML data engineering.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal Senior Solutions Architect candidate brings deep technical expertise and proven pre-sales success:

• 8-11 years of customer-facing experience, including 5-7 years in enterprise software pre-sales.
• 3+ years hands-on with modern languages like Python, Node.js, SQL or Java, C#, C++.
• Proven track record designing scalable distributed systems across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.
• Demonstrated success reviewing complex legacy architectures and guiding modernization with NoSQL databases and cloud-native technologies.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills for explaining technical concepts to business and technical leadership.
• Comfortable with 25% travel and hybrid work in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MongoDB or cloud certifications highly preferred.

Bonus experience includes database programming, data engineering, AI/ML projects, and sales methodologies like MEDDPICC.
