Role Overview

As a Senior Specialist, Quality Control Chemist II on the weekend shift (Friday-Sunday, 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM), you will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of quality for our pharmaceutical products. Reporting to the Manager of Quality Control (Chemistry), this onsite role in Indianapolis demands precision, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to testing and compliance. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve hands-on analytical work and documentation to uphold product integrity:

  • Ensure timely inspections and analysis of incoming materials, drug substances, in-process, and drug product samples.
  • Lead investigations, deviations, change controls, and CAPAs with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Execute method verification, validation, and transfer protocols to support manufacturing processes.
  • Perform stability testing per protocols at prescribed intervals.
  • Author SOPs, analytical method worksheets, forms, and other critical documents.
  • Conduct visual assessments and analytical evaluations of products and processes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in testing methods, regulations like 21 CFR 210/211, and standards.
  • Train team members on SOPs, protocols, instruments, and quality guidelines.
  • Execute equipment qualification and computer system validation as needed.
  • Align priorities with management and collaborate across departments for seamless operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

  • General knowledge of GDP documentation practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; exceptional technical writing skills.
