Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various microbiological testing procedures, strictly adhering to Manufacturing/QC batch records, protocols, and test methods.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring in controlled and classified manufacturing and testing areas to prevent contamination risks.
  • Collaborate with project managers, manufacturing teams, and QA to ensure timely sample testing and product release.
  • Identify and report Out of Specification (OOS) or Out of Trend (OOT) results, non-conformances, and participate in root cause investigations.
  • Support validation, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment, proactively resolving operational issues.
  • Review, analyze, interpret, trend, and report test result data for compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain general laboratory upkeep and adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Contribute to department compliance and productivity goals, with desirable experience in authoring SOPs, test methods, change controls, CAPAs, deviations, and lab investigations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with emphasis in QC microbiology, environmental monitoring, critical systems monitoring, quality control, or aseptic manufacturing.
  • Competency in computer programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
