As the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager on the Strategic Sourcing Team, you will play a pivotal role in managing indirect spend for Choice Hotels. This individual contributor position reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive cost savings, optimize supplier relationships, and streamline procurement processes. In this senior role, you will lead high-impact initiatives across the procurement lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to boost productivity and identify cost savings within Choice corporate functional teams. You will create efficiencies to generate buying power and reduce costs, acting as the subject matter expert for assigned categories by collaborating with business owners and management.
Contracting duties involve drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements like MSAs, SOWs, and Order Forms, while ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards. Spend analysis will be central, providing insights for budgeting and planning. Category management plans will offer senior leadership visibility into risks, total cost of ownership, KPIs, SLAs, and performance monitoring.
Vendor negotiations will require comprehensive strategies incorporating budgets, spend data, and financial analyses to validate savings. You will spearhead RFx processes, bid evaluations, risk assessments, and ongoing supplier management, partnering with Legal and Risk Teams. Process optimization efforts will enhance productivity metrics like savings and cycle times. Additionally, provide indirect leadership and mentorship to junior team members, promoting continuous improvement.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; an MBA or certifications like CPSM or CIPS are preferred. A minimum of 7-10 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management is required, with proven success in senior roles.
