Role Overview

As a ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Discovery processes within the ServiceNow platform. This full-time, remote position (US-Nationwide-FIELD) reports to the Application Development & Maintenance team. You will focus on data integrity, new integrations, and operational excellence, ensuring our IT infrastructure is accurately mapped and maintained. With a salary range of $93,900 - $149,160 USD per year, this role offers substantial growth in a high-impact healthcare IT environment. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve hands-on management of ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery operations:

• Complete incidents, defects, and tasks per SLAs, including daily health checks on CMDB, Discovery jobs, data loads, and mid servers. Implement permanent corrective actions for data errors.
• Act as SME to configure and fine-tune Discovery patterns and schedules, creating new ones to minimize CMDB gaps and accurately map IT infrastructure/services.
• Lead integration projects using REST, SOAP APIs, Service Graph Connectors, and web services to enrich CMDB data. Automate imports, de-customizations, and synchronization; upgrade plugins promptly.
• Enforce data governance and quality standards for reliable CMDB data supporting operations and decisions.
• Build insightful reports and dashboards using ServiceNow analytics for IT/business stakeholders.
• Collaborate in Agile sprints, recommend enhancements for data quality, efficiency, and performance. Mentor junior team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

We seek proven professionals with:

• 4-8 years of experience, including 4+ years hands-on in ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery.
• BA/BS or equivalent in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency in SDLC, Agile, with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB/Discovery, data modeling, ITSM, cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure). Scripting in JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, Unix shell, Perl.
• Expertise in integrations (Service Graph Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs), web technologies.
• Analytical prowess for problem-solving and actionable insights.

Preferred Certifications: ServiceNow Fundamentals, Discovery Fundamentals, Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery, CMDB Fundamentals, ITILv4 Foundations, Cloud (GCP/AWS).
