NR_Minerals which is Bussiness Unit with many inspectors are working in province stations (Vung Tau; Tay Ninh, Kien Giang); Mineral laboratory located at Tan Binh Industrial Zone (Ho Chi Minh). This position plays an important role in HSE works at HCM Branch where we put SGS Head Office.

Qualifications

• University degree for Safety, Health, Environmental Engineering, or Degree from Engineering Majors• Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental at least 2 years’ experience HSE Laboratory/Inspection. • Qualification on and HSE Legal. • Strong computer skills, negotiation • Well-developed presentation and training skills. • Proven ability to promote safety awareness and foster a safety culture• Good writing, reading, speaking and listening skills in English.

We have an opening for an experienced HSE Officer to join our HSE Team. The role is a full-time (Monday to Friday)

Role's Objective:
To the implement, maintain and improve of the health, safety and environment within SGS Vietnam Ltd. Natural Resources_ Minerals which is Business Unit with many inspectors are working in province stations (Ho Chi Minh; Vung Tau; Tay Ninh);
Mineral laboratory located at Tan Binh Industrial Zone (Ho Chi Minh). This position plays an important role in HSE works at HCM Branch where we put SGS Head Office.

Specific Responsibilities:
Hosting monthly HSE meeting with Heads of local operations (laboratory and field operation team).
Addressing safety issues within the lab manager and operation manager.
Be a trainer for branch/lab/site or provide the HSE training to management board, middle management/supervisors (who are the trainers for most of the operational staff).
Working on the country H&S Top Page and BU H&S Top Page (HSE leading indicator & lagging indicator).
Pushing the initiatives and campaigns as requested by Country H&S manager and Global/Regional BU and reporting the progress regularly.
Deciding and preparing the safe talk program for each position of staff within the branch / Site / BU.
Working with operational management on the training matrix for each position.
Identifying high risk operations, organizing the risk assessment program and driving technical team to inject safety elements into SOP.
Working together with technical competence (supervisor/manager) to prepare the site safety induction; safety handbook.
Leading investigation for RAM 2 or incidents as decree No.39/2016 and SGS guidelines.
Implement the safety actions according to HSE circle procedure (daily; weekly; monthly) to improve as PDCA model.
Conduct site H&S visits at the field stations according to the approved monthly plan by the BU Manager
Closely monitor safety operation at lab and at field to ensure comply with SGS's OMIS and SGS Rule for life.
