Position Summary
Sonoco is seeking a dynamic Shift Supervisor for our 3rd Shift in Conyers, GA. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee safety, quality, productivity, material handling, cost performance, and employee management for your assigned shift. This mid-level role offers a competitive salary range of $97,632 - $118,989 USD/year (estimated), plus a 12.5% quarterly target bonus, driving operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety processes and best manufacturing practices across the shift.
- Manage production scheduling to meet customer demands, control overtime, minimize inventory, and cut costs.
- Drive continuous improvement using SPS, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing tools to hit performance metrics.
- Foster employee engagement through strong relationships, training, development, and necessary discipline.
- Propose and implement capital projects enhancing operational performance.
- Lead the SPS Pillar Team (Focused Improvement) to prioritize plant initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or engineering (strongly preferred).
- At least 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing or production.
