Role Overview

As a Part-Time Shunter Driver at PepsiCo's SRDC Leicester site (Bursom Road, Walkers Snacks Distribution Ltd, LE4 1EX), you'll play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process. Working 21 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern—alternating 12-hour day and night shifts—you'll operate SRDC shunt units to manage trailer movements. This vital position ensures seamless flow of trailers to and from potato intake bays, including short trips to nearby PepsiCo sites. Key Responsibilities

Your daily impact will include delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) across safety, hygiene, service, and productivity. You'll maintain all standards rigorously, supporting our safety programme through proactive Near Miss reporting. Ensuring punctual trailer flow on and off intake bays is core to the role, minimising disruptions in potato supply to manufacturing. You'll identify service risks swiftly and act decisively, while upholding a high-quality focus. Travel short distances to collect and drop trailers at other PepsiCo sites, prioritising efficiency and compliance.

Daily Operations

Operate HGV1-licensed shunt units safely on external roads, adhering to health and safety protocols. Collaborate with teams to optimise trailer logistics, contributing to overall site productivity.
