Overview

The Site Manager’s primary role is to ensure all radiotracer operations within the site meet PETNET standards. You will take operational responsibility for all manufacturing activities of radiotracers, initially at the PETNET Mount Vernon site and later at the PETNET Dunstable site. This includes ensuring contractual requirements are met, compliance with company policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety legislation. You will also lead the project management of the new site and manage a team of 20–30 employees.


Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage site operations and radiotracer production at PETNET Mount Vernon and Dunstable in compliance with UK licensing regulations (Health & Safety, MHRA, EA).
  • Implement and maintain processes to meet schedule and budget requirements for radiotracer production.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Timely procurement of drugs, supplies, and materials.
    • Monitor inventory of traditional products and radiotracers.
  • Radiotracer Production:
    • Provide FDG, NaF, and other products as required.
    • Understand equipment functions (cyclotron, synthesis units, QC, dispensing) and troubleshooting.
  • Logistics Management: Maintain Department for Transport regulations and delivery schedules.
  • Facilities & Equipment: Ensure instruments and equipment are maintained in exemplary working order.
  • Drive project management for the new Dunstable site, including:
    • Liaising with contractors and Siemens Healthineers teams.
    • Developing validation documents (SOPs, SVMP).
    • Managing schedules for equipment qualification and validation.
    • Supporting start-up protocols and consumable lists.
    • Executing validation studies aligned with industry best practices.
  • Ensure high-quality, reliable service and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve operational and capital budget targets.
  • Contribute to PETNET/Siemens Healthineers strategy and provide sales support as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing policies.
  • Manage subcontractors to meet service level agreements.
  • Lead and engage the team effectively, ensuring retention, performance, and development.
  • Drive continuous dialogue and feedback through Healthineers Forum.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in radiotracer manufacture, testing, and dispensing.
  • Relevant GMP experience (typically 2 years post qualification).
  • Experience in radiotracer production facility, aseptic service, or similar environment.
  • Supervisory experience managing technical staff and resources.
  • Safe handling of radioactive and hazardous materials.
  • Experience drafting and executing URS, FDS, DQ, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ protocols.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Business planning experience and knowledge of MHRA guidelines.
  • High commitment to customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational and quality management system (QMS) experience.
