Key Responsibilities at MongoDB
- Lead cloud security design and deployment for AWS, Azure, GCP including network segmentation, compute protection, and IAM policies.
- Build automated security monitoring solutions using native cloud services and third-party tools for real-time alerting and anomaly detection.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to enforce security configurations at scale.
- Evaluate and manage cloud-native security platforms for endpoint security, identity management, and CSPM.
- Drive runtime security scanning and observability across MongoDB Atlas multi-cloud environments.
- Mentor junior SREs and lead cross-functional projects to elevate our security posture.

Qualifications & Requirements
To succeed as a Staff SRE, Infrastructure Security at MongoDB, you need:
- 6+ years SRE/infrastructure engineering with 2+ years senior/staff experience focused on cloud security.
- Deep cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including IAM, VPC networking, security groups, and native security tools.
- Programming proficiency in Golang or similar, plus IaC experience with Terraform/Ansible.
- Strong Linux and networking fundamentals from kernel-level to cloud configurations.
- Proven leadership in security projects like CSPM, runtime scanning, and observability.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex security to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
