Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Architect and deploy comprehensive cloud security solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms
• Design network security architectures including VPCs, security groups, and firewall configurations
• Lead identity and access management (IAM) implementations with least-privilege principles
• Build automated security monitoring pipelines for real-time threat detection and alerting
• Implement CSPM frameworks using native tools like AWS GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail
• Develop infrastructure-as-code security controls with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
• Create runtime security scanning and anomaly detection systems
• Mentor and grow a team of SRE engineers while maintaining hands-on technical contributions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain MongoDB's leadership in cloud database security

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this Staff SRE Infrastructure Security role at MongoDB, you'll need:

• 7+ years SRE/infrastructure engineering experience with 2+ years senior/staff level, security-focused
• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP security services (IAM, VPC networking, GuardDuty, etc.)
• Proven track record leading cloud security projects (CSPM, runtime scanning, observability)
• Strong programming skills in Golang (or similar) for building security tooling
• Advanced Linux systems and networking knowledge for complex distributed environments
• Terraform and IaC expertise for automated security deployments
• Experience with cloud-native monitoring, logging, and SIEM solutions
• Demonstrated leadership mentoring technical teams
