  • Continuously improve observability capabilities while optimizing for cost, usability, and maintainability
  • Collaborate with SWE and SRE teams to implement observability best practices across MongoDB services
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in large-scale distributed systems and Kubernetes environments

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years running mission-critical services at significant scale with global reach
  • Demonstrated expertise in observability for distributed systems (metrics, logging, tracing)
  • Strong understanding of information security principles and secure infrastructure practices
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Go, Python, Rust) beyond scripting
  • Deep knowledge of network protocols (HTTP/2, TLS, DNS, gRPC, TCP/IP)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes and major cloud platforms highly preferred

Nice-to-haves: Hands-on experience with VictoriaMetrics, Splunk, Jaeger, Fluentbit, Vector, or Prometheus-based stacks.
