About the Role

Join Skechers’ IT Software Engineering & Architecture team and be a part of modernizing our global retail platform. We're constructing a cloud-native, composable, and highly scalable ecosystem to power eCommerce, wholesale channels, loyalty programs, pricing, product data, and inventory systems. As a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead, you'll be writing great code, shipping fast, and helping your team level up.

Day in the Life

Your day will involve designing and delivering mission-critical services, driving the adoption of AI-powered tools, owning production incidents end-to-end, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with product and business teams. Expect a hands-on role requiring deep coding, technical leadership, and pragmatic problem-solving in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud-native services on AWS.
• Evaluate and drive adoption of AI-powered developer tools.
• Lead investigation and resolution of production incidents.
• Conduct thorough code reviews and champion automated testing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Partner with QA to define test strategies.
• Work with product managers and business stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience in retail/e-commerce.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, and/or Python.
• Expertise in AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong command of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools.

Salary & Benefits
