We're looking for an Application Engineer to join our CRM Technology team in Los Angeles, CA, where you'll design and ship quality code leveraging Snap’s multi-cloud infrastructure to power scalable applications supporting internal CRM systems for Snapchat, Lens Studio, and Spectacles. As part of Team Snapchat, you'll collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to build tools that drive business impact, ensuring high uptime and seamless integrations that enhance personalized experiences for hundreds of millions of Snapchatters worldwide. What You'll Do

  • Work with Product Managers and Customers to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions
  • Design and build scalable applications and features focused on creating business impact for CRM systems
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to build and maintain high-volume inbound and outbound integrations
  • Ensure high application uptime and reliability for internal business systems
  • Build technical documentation and contribute to engineering excellence in the CRM technology area
  • Leverage Snap’s multi-cloud infrastructure to ship quality code supporting Snapchat's CRM operations
  • Develop tools and applications that enhance CRM capabilities, powering personalized experiences for Snapchatters
  • Participate in incident response, hotfix investigations, and operational improvements
  • Integrate CRM technologies with Snap's AR innovations and camera-centric products
  • Optimize data pipelines to support real-time CRM insights for Snap's global community
  • Champion privacy and precision in all CRM engineering efforts, aligning with Snap's core values

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field
  • 3+ years of software development experience in Java, C++, Python and/or Apex
  • Experience with backend services or distributed systems
  • Experience with SQL/NoSQL solutions, Memcache/Redis, Kubernetes, or Google/AWS services
  • Solid knowledge of unit testing
  • Ability to independently execute on medium-sized features, taking a few weeks and multiple PRs to complete
  • Understanding of operational aspects of systems, including incident or hotfix investigation and resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM including Apex Programming and Lightning Web Components
  • Experience or willingness to learn creating data pipelines using Airflow
  • Experience building and maintaining highly-available services at significant scale
