About Snap Inc

Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

About the Role

Snap Inc is a camera company that believes the camera represents the greatest opportunity to improve how people live and communicate. We contribute to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together through our core products: Snapchat, a visual messaging app; Lens Studio, an AR platform; and Spectacles AR glasses. The Product Design team is a small, influential group steering the future of the core Snapchat application. Working closely with the CEO and cross-functional leaders, our designers craft a design-led roadmap to build experiences that unite our community in innovative ways. Join us as a Core Product Designer to shape the next generation of camera-first, AR-powered features. In this role, you'll conceive groundbreaking features that leverage Snapchat's camera and AR capabilities, pitching ideas directly to the CEO and driving them from concept to launch. You'll design intuitive, beautiful experiences that enhance real-time communication, prototype interactive mobile flows, and define roadmaps for product areas that bring Snapchatters closer together. By identifying user needs and providing strategic input, you'll improve existing features while innovating new ones that foster creativity and fun in our fast-paced, ambiguous environment. We're seeking a designer with exceptional visual and interaction skills, a passion for mobile prototyping, and the ability to think strategically like a product manager. Your portfolio should showcase shipped mobile apps with strong design impact. At Snap, our 'Default Together' policy emphasizes in-office collaboration 4+ days a week to build our creative culture faster. We celebrate diverse backgrounds and are committed to equal opportunity employment. Compensation varies by zone: Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) $142,000-$214,000; Zone B $135,000-$203,000; Zone C $121,000-$182,000, plus RSUs and comprehensive benefits.
