About the Role

Our Spectacles team is pioneering fifth-generation standalone AR glasses powered by Snap OS, blending seamless camera innovation with augmented reality to enhance play, learning, and work. Join our Spectacles Software Engineering Team as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud, in the System Integration and Test (SIT) group, based in our Vienna office. You'll manage Google Cloud projects critical to Spectacles, collaborating with global hardware and software teams to fuel AR creativity and push the boundaries of what's possible with see-through AR eyewear. In this role, you'll develop and maintain robust GCP infrastructure with advanced monitoring and alerting, optimize costs for scalable AR development, and accelerate developer velocity through CI/CD pipelines and local dev tools. You'll rapidly deploy R&D innovations into production, ensuring high-quality systems that support Spectacles' camera-driven AR experiences, while using the products yourself to drive continuous improvements. Your expertise in root cause analysis, scripting, Git, Docker, and cloud cost savings will empower teams to iterate quickly on features that bring people closer through immersive, real-world AR. What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure for Spectacles, including comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems
• Design and implement cost optimization strategies to achieve significant savings on cloud expenses
• Provide engineering teams with optimized solutions for local development and continuous integration
• Collaborate with global System Integration and Test (SIT) teams to boost developer velocity for Spectacles
• Rapidly integrate cutting-edge Research & Development solutions into production while maintaining high quality standards
• Regularly use Spectacles products to gain context and continually improve underlying systems
• Administer and deploy Docker containers and virtualization technologies
• Perform root cause analysis to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction
• Work closely with Snap hardware and software teams worldwide from the Vienna office
• Leverage AR innovation to support Spectacles' standalone, see-through AR glasses powered by Snap OS
• Foster innovation in camera technology and creative AR experiences
• Contribute to a culture of creativity, collaboration, and pushing technological boundaries

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience with Unix/Linux environments
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles
• GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification
• Deep experience in monitoring, alerting, and cost savings for GCE and GCS
• Strong scripting skills (shell, Python) and Linux command-line proficiency
• Very good knowledge of Git, including LFS, hooks, bisect, merge strategies, repo, and submodules
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD configurations and workflows (Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity)

Preferred Qualifications

• GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification
• Integrating CI/CD pipelines with Machine Learning Platform (MCP) or Large Language Model (LLM) tools
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker Registry, JFROG Artifactory
• Knowledge of configuration management with Ansible
• Experience with monitoring tools like BigQuery, Looker, Grafana, and networking (VPC, load balancing)
