Employment Type: Full time

About Snap Inc

Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

About the Role

Snap Inc is a camera company believing that the camera + AI + AR will help people share the moment in new ways, improving how people live and communicate. We contribute to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together. Our three core products are Snapchat, a visual messaging app; Lens Studio, an AR platform; and Spectacles, our AR glasses. Spectacles is home to our hardware products with a world-class R&D team pushing the boundaries of camera technology by overlaying computing on the real world. Next Generation Spectacles bring augmented reality to life through innovative eyewear. Join our Spectacles team as an Electrical Engineer, Level 4, to drive AR innovation in a creative, fast-paced culture. As an Electrical Engineer on Spectacles, you will own end-to-end electrical design for AR glasses, from schematic capture and component selection for complex SOCs, PMICs, display drivers, and sensors, to stackup definition and mass production handoff. You will lead design reviews, supervise PCB/flex layouts, and debug critical issues like signal integrity, power delivery, EMI, and desense in collaboration with software, mechanical, optical, and ID teams. Hands-on prototyping, validation, and lab troubleshooting with advanced instrumentation will be key to ensuring robust, low-power performance in our camera-forward AR hardware. You will author comprehensive specs, support onsite builds at contract manufacturers (with up to 8 weeks travel/year), and innovate on micro-displays and video interfaces to enable seamless AR experiences. Thrive in Snap's 'Default Together' culture, working 4+ days/week in office to accelerate creativity and collaboration. If you have a passion for Snapchat, AR innovation, and camera technology, bring your expertise to Spectacles and help shape the future of wearable computing. Snap is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.
