Snap Inc is a technology company that believes the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. We empower people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together through Snapchat, Lens Studio, and our AR glasses, Spectacles. Spectacles is home to our hardware products with a world-class research & development team focused on pushing the boundaries of camera technology by overlaying computing on the real world. Next Generation Spectacles bring augmented reality to life, and we're seeking an Electrical Engineer, L5, to join the Spectacles team and drive AR innovation in wearable cameras. As an Electrical Engineer on Spectacles, you will own the full lifecycle of board design from schematic capture and component selection to stackup definition and final deliverables, integrating complex SOCs, PMICs, wireless ICs, and sensors for low-power AR consumer electronics. You will simulate power distribution networks, lead technical design reviews, supervise PCB/flex layouts, and debug issues like signal integrity, EMI, and power states in collaboration with mechanical, software, RF, thermal, and industrial design teams. Your work will ensure robust electrical performance in camera-first AR glasses, enabling seamless real-world overlays and creative user experiences. You will test and validate board- and system-level designs, author comprehensive test documentation, prototype new concepts, and support manufacturing builds with up to 20% international travel. Thriving in Snap's creative culture requires strong fundamentals in battery systems, high-speed interfaces, and PDN/SI tools, paired with excellent collaboration skills.
