Join our world-class R&D team in Spectacles as an Electrical Validation Engineer, Level 4, where you'll play a key role in validating hardware that brings AR to life, ensuring our innovative prototypes deliver seamless performance in power, signals, and camera integration. In this hands-on role, you'll execute validation tests on electrical prototypes for AR glasses, set up advanced test benches with custom fixtures for camera subsystems, and analyze data to uncover insights on signal integrity and power efficiency critical to AR experiences. You'll debug complex issues alongside senior engineers, develop automation scripts to streamline testing, and collaborate across design, firmware, and software teams to resolve problems that enhance Spectacles' real-world AR capabilities. Your work will directly contribute to characterizing performance under diverse conditions, ensuring our hardware innovations meet the high standards of Snapchat's creative ecosystem. We're seeking a self-motivated engineer with a foundational grasp of electrical principles and 5+ years in hardware validation, passionate about AR and camera tech. Thrive in our dynamic, 'Default Together' culture where in-office collaboration 4+ days a week fuels creativity and rapid iteration. At Snap, diverse teams drive innovation—apply your technical prowess and problem-solving mindset to help shape the future of AR eyewear. Base salary ranges from $133,000-$235,000 annually depending on zone, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
