Join our 3rd shift (10pm-6:30am) Equipment Technician team to keep our cutting-edge fab operations running smoothly, enabling the next generation of Spectacles that bring augmented reality to life. As an Equipment Technician, you'll be the frontline hero ensuring our semiconductor and optical manufacturing tools deliver flawless performance for AR innovation. Respond swiftly to breakdowns, perform expert troubleshooting on control systems, vacuum tech, electronics, and mechanics, and execute planned maintenance to minimize downtime. Own preventative and corrective strategies, using OEM manuals, schematics, and test gear to calibrate, repair, and optimize equipment—directly impacting Spectacles yield, efficiency, and our mission to redefine human connection through immersive tech. You'll identify creative improvements to slash costs and boost productivity, collaborate with vendors, and champion a safe, ISO-compliant culture in our dynamic fab environment. What You'll Do

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, troubleshoot, and return equipment to production in a timely manner
  • Undertake planned maintenance in accordance with predefined schedules and sustain manufacturing equipment
  • Ensure all equipment functions correctly per specifications to comply with applied standards
  • Effectively troubleshoot control systems, vacuum, electronic, electrical, and mechanical problems
  • Own preventative and corrective maintenance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment for Spectacles production
  • Develop specifications, troubleshooting methodologies, and support systems for AR hardware fab tools
  • Use schematics, tools, and test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment
  • Disassemble, adjust, and repair equipment according to maintenance specs and OEM manuals
  • Identify and implement machine improvements to boost efficiency, yield, productivity, and reduce costs
  • Ensure engineering principles are adhered to by team members operating equipment
  • Foster a positive safety and environmental culture aligned with ISO 18001 and ISO 14001

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a semiconductor fabrication environment
  • Prior work experience as a maintenance technician in a similar fabrication environment
  • Knowledge of semiconductor, optical device, optical system, or display technology equipment
  • Experience troubleshooting control systems, vacuum, electronic, electrical, and mechanical problems
  • Ability to use schematics, tools, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair
  • Experience working with vendors to troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety standards including ISO 18001 and ISO 14001

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a semiconductor fabrication environment
  • AA/AS degree in electronic engineering or electronic technology diploma
  • Experience managing or training technicians
  • Proven experience implementing machine improvements to reduce operating costs
  • Experience in optical or AR hardware manufacturing environments
