As Manager, Cross Platform Software Engineering, you'll lead a team delivering the stable, high-performance foundation for Snap's AR innovations and camera-driven features. This hands-on role requires deep mobile expertise, proficiency in C++, TypeScript, Android, and iOS to tackle performance challenges and architect scalable solutions. You'll collaborate closely with customers to shape the long-term roadmap, grow our open-source community, and ensure seamless integration across Snapchat, Lenses, and Spectacles, all while fostering a creative, fast-moving team environment. You'll set strategy, mentor engineers, hire top talent, and drive measurable outcomes in a highly collaborative setting. What You'll Do

• Manage and mentor a team of C++, TypeScript, Android and iOS engineers in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
• Set the strategy, build a roadmap, create measurable goals, and lead your team to deliver high-impact features
• Set the direction for Snap’s largest Open Source project, Valdi, and grow its developer community
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs of major decisions and serve as a strong technical mentor
• Hire, grow, and retain high-performing team members to support Snap's innovative culture
• Work closely with internal customers to determine the long-term roadmap for cross-platform technology
• Solve tricky performance issues and create stable architecture using C++, TypeScript, and native platform expertise
• Ensure the team addresses customer issues promptly to maintain reliability across Snapchat features
• Drive innovation in cross-platform tech that powers AR experiences, Lenses, and Spectacles integration
• Collaborate with AR and camera engineering teams to enhance real-time visual communication

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience
• 8+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field and 7+ years of post-grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related technical field and 3+ years of post-grad software development experience
• 1+ years of experience managing a team of engineers
• Hands-on experience with mobile development (iOS or Android)
• Background with building high availability and mission critical systems
• Experience with leading an engineering team
• Experience leading and executing large, complex technical initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cross platform mobile frameworks
• Proficiency in one or more of: C++, TypeScript, Android, or iOS Development
• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-stakeholder environments
• Experience contributing to or leading an Open Source project
