About Snap Inc

Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

About the Role

Snap Inc is a camera company that believes the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. We contribute to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together through our core products: Snapchat, a visual messaging app; Lens Studio, an AR platform; and Spectacles, our AR glasses. Snap Engineering teams build fun and technically sophisticated products reaching hundreds of millions of Snapchatters daily. We're deeply committed to our global community's well-being, moving fast with precision and privacy at the forefront. Join our Content Ranking team as a Manager, Machine Learning Engineering, to power personalized video recommendations that enhance creative, camera-driven experiences on Snapchat. In this role, you'll lead a team of ML and software engineers to develop and optimize our recommendation engine, defining scalable architectures that integrate AR innovations and real-time personalization. You'll drive rapid iterations, collaborate with infrastructure teams on robust ML systems, and evaluate tradeoffs through A/B testing to boost engagement with Snapchat's ephemeral content. By performing code reviews and fostering technical excellence, you'll ensure our systems reliably surface the most relevant Lenses, Stories, and videos, all while championing Snap's creative culture and privacy standards. We're seeking a leader with deep ML expertise in recommender systems, proven team management, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. If you have experience with real-time ranking, large-scale frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and a passion for AR-driven innovation, you'll excel in Snap's fast-paced environment. We practice a 'Default Together' policy (4+ days/week in office) to build culture through collaboration.
