Must be open to 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) or 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm). In this role, you'll oversee production processes in the Spectacles fabrication area, ensuring schedules are met while fostering Snap's creative culture. You'll allocate resources, set priorities for fab personnel, monitor material flow, and adjust staffing to handle workloads, all while promoting safety in cleanroom protocols. Collaborate with the Production Manager on performance appraisals, resolve personnel issues, interview candidates, and champion training to build a high-performing team passionate about AR innovation. You'll review orders, clarify specs, coordinate WIP creation, and evaluate final inspections for Spectacles components like liquid crystal optics. Schedule maintenance to minimize downtime, prepare insightful reports on production status and solutions, and contribute to operations team initiatives that streamline processes for camera technology. What You'll Do

  • Oversee all production-related processes, systems, and procedures within your shift for Spectacles AR glasses fabrication
  • Allocate resources in the fabrication area to meet production objectives while adhering to Snap's business policies
  • Set priorities for fab personnel and monitor material flow to ensure production schedules are met
  • Plan and coordinate materials, adjust work assignments, and maintain staffing levels to handle fluctuating workloads
  • Evaluate employee performance, prepare appraisals in tandem with the Production Manager, and resolve personnel issues
  • Review applicant credentials, interview candidates, and recommend hires to build a strong fab team
  • Promote training initiatives to drive growth for fab personnel and support Snap's innovative culture
  • Maintain a safe, organized cleanroom work area, enforcing all safety policies and protocols
  • Review order priorities, clarify specifications, and determine production processes based on demand
  • Coordinate creation of new Work-In-Process (WIP) and evaluate materials at final inspections
  • Schedule and monitor preventative/corrective maintenance to minimize downtime on Spectacles production lines
  • Prepare reports on production status, issues, and solutions for interdepartmental peers and operations team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of prior supervisory or lead-role experience in manufacturing or production
  • Experience tracking and reporting production metrics in a high-tech environment
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for the majority of a shift, wearing full cleanroom attire
  • Availability for 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) or 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm)
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee production processes and ensure adherence to business policies
  • Experience in evaluating employee performance and handling personnel issues
  • Familiarity with maintaining safe and organized work areas in compliance with safety protocols
  • Proven track record of scheduling maintenance to minimize production downtime

Preferred Qualifications

  • AA or higher-level degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field
  • Knowledge of and frequent use of PC tools (Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Excel or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with industry standard troubleshooting methods (8D, 5-Why, CAPA, etc.)
  • Experience using a manufacturing execution system (MES) software in a production environment
  • Prior experience working in a cleanroom environment with AR/VR or optics equipment
  • Prior experience working with liquid crystal and/or AR/VR equipment
