Join our Spectacles Manufacturing Team as a Production Technician and be at the heart of crafting hardware that empowers authentic self-expression and human progress. In this hands-on role, you'll spend most of your day in a full cleanroom suit, actively assembling, testing, and optimizing production of AR glasses that push the boundaries of wearable tech. You'll support 2-shift rotating production (6am-3pm or 3pm-11pm), monitoring processes via MES, SPC, and dashboards to ensure high yield and quality for Spectacles. Proactively troubleshoot issues, contribute to process improvements that boost efficiency and reduce costs, and assist in validating new technologies for rapid deployment. As the on-shift process expert, you'll make critical decisions, conduct investigations, and collaborate seamlessly across teams to minimize downtime—keeping our innovative AR pipeline flowing in Snap's fast-paced, creative culture. What You'll Do

  • Perform hands-on manufacturing, assembly, and testing of Spectacles AR glasses in a cleanroom environment, ensuring adherence to procedures and specifications
  • Support production on rotating shifts, including setup, operation, and shutdown of equipment for fifth-generation Spectacles powered by Snap OS
  • Monitor production processes proactively, identify deviations, and conduct initial troubleshooting to minimize downtime
  • Contribute to process optimization for improved efficiency, yield, and cost reduction in AR hardware production
  • Assist in developing and validating new manufacturing processes for rapid introduction of innovative camera and AR technologies
  • Ensure strict adherence to engineering principles, quality standards, and safety protocols across fabrication and test areas
  • Respond to out-of-control events, perform containment, investigations, and resolutions, escalating as needed during off-hours
  • Provide clear communication and feedback across shifts to maintain production continuity for Spectacles
  • Liaise with supervisors and team members to prioritize production for AR glasses that enhance real-world connections
  • Train and mentor new Operators and Technicians on Spectacles manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Champion safety and environmental culture aligned with Snap's innovative and creative values

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience as a Production Technician in a fabrication or cleanroom manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production setting with hands-on assembly and testing
  • Availability to work on a 2-shift rotating basis (6am-3pm, 3pm-11pm)
  • Ability to wear full cleanroom suits for the majority of the workday
  • Understanding of quality standards and operating procedures in high-tech manufacturing
  • Experience monitoring production metrics using MES, SPC data, or production dashboards
  • Commitment to working in-office 4+ days per week per Snap's 'Default Together' policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in electronics, optics, or AR hardware manufacturing
  • Knowledge of ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 safety and environmental standards
  • Background in high-volume consumer electronics production
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and scientific experimentation
  • Prior work with camera or wearable technology assembly
