We're seeking a Residential Security Officer to join our Protective Services team. In this role, you'll implement and lead a comprehensive residential security program, ensuring a safe home environment for senior executives, families, and guests amid Snap's fast-paced creative culture. You'll monitor CCTV in a 24/7 Command Post, manage access control, conduct patrols, inspect deliveries, and respond to incidents with discretion and professionalism. Liaising with household staff and stakeholders, you'll integrate security into daily operations and events, while maintaining logs, schedules, SOPs, and expenses using Windows and iOS tools. Your sharp judgment and adaptability will support incident planning, drills, and mentoring junior officers, all while fostering the innovative spirit that drives Snapchat's AR advancements. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in residential/executive security, law enforcement, or military, with California BSIS Guard Card and Firearms Permit required. Excel in high-stakes environments with VIPs, demonstrating resilience for 12-hour shifts. Preferred: command post experience, medical certifications, and CCW. What You'll Do

• Implement, manage and help to lead a comprehensive residential security program providing a safe and secure home environment for senior executives, family members, and guests
• Greet and receive guests in a professional, discreet and respectful manner
• Monitor CCTV and security technologies in a 24/7 Command Post
• Implement access control procedures and conduct foot patrols
• Receive and inspect deliveries, and execute other complementary procedures to maintain 24-hour security for residential properties
• Communicate effectively and politely; maintain detailed, accurate logs; draft and update standard operating procedures
• Create and maintain complex shift schedules and multiple electronic calendars, and track and manage official expenses and transaction reports
• Liaise with household staff, contractors, event staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that security procedures are understood and followed in day-to-day residential functions and integrated into the planning of work projects and events
• Respond to security breaches, medical emergencies and other incidents
• Assist with incident and disaster planning and response; conduct drills, maintain inventories, and test equipment
• Mentor and develop junior Residential Security Officers

Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant work experience in residential or executive security, law enforcement or the military
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
• Must be able to pass a background and driving record check
• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
• Valid California BSIS Firearms Permit
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk frequently, and for long periods of time; ability to lift luggage, equipment and other heavy items
• Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
• Previous relevant experience comprised of: 2+ years of residential security, executive protection, operations center and/or command post experience; and 3+ years experience in the military, law enforcement, or a public/private sector security organization or equivalent
• Prior medical and trauma training and certifications
• Valid California CCW

Compensation

$66,000-$98,000 annually
