Join our Customer and Review Operations team as a Senior Anti-Abuse Analyst, where you'll safeguard the creative, camera-driven experiences that define Snapchat. Working cross-functionally across Operations, Engineering, and Product, you'll analyze abuse trends, develop prevention strategies, and ensure our AR innovations remain safe and trustworthy for millions of Snapchatters worldwide. In this role, you'll dive deep into emerging abuse patterns affecting our visual messaging and AR features, identifying malicious actor behaviors and designing red-teaming scenarios to test platform resilience. You'll collaborate closely with teams to automate risk detection, optimize support workflows, and drive remediations using data insights from SQL pipelines and tools like Looker or Tableau. By anticipating risks in our camera-centric ecosystem, you'll balance business growth with safety, providing actionable reports and escalations that protect user privacy and enhance the fun, expressive culture of Snapchat. What You'll Do

  • Perform analysis on existing and newly emerging abuse trends, including sampling support inquiries to understand impact on the Snapchat Community
  • Identify behavior patterns of malicious actors to understand motives, tactics, and techniques
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to enhance detection of abusive behavior
  • Design, execute, and document Adversarial Safety Testing (Red-Teaming) scenarios; present findings, risks, and remediations
  • Employ project management principles to track, prioritize, and drive safety issues to resolution
  • Identify automation opportunities in product and support experiences to mitigate risks
  • Enhance operational workflows through process improvements and data-driven insights
  • Anticipate abuse risks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs with technical constraints
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Product, and Engineering on metrics, analysis, and account access investigations
  • Research industry trends in online safety to inform Snapchat’s AR and camera-based innovations

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in anti-abuse or security operations
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL and building data pipelines to identify trends
  • Experience analyzing data to make data-driven decisions
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools
  • Experience managing multiple projects end-to-end
  • Experience with JIRA or similar issue tracking software
  • Experience creating and executing adversarial safety testing programs for online platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience investigating spam or other types of abuse
  • Ability to write advanced SQL queries
  • Data-driven with proven track record managing datasets and reporting to inform decision-making
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Developed perspective on prominent trends and issues in the online safety world

$118,000-$176,000 annually
