Join us as a Senior Revenue Accountant on the Accounting team, where you'll play a key role in supporting Snap's explosive growth in AR innovation and visual storytelling. In this role, you'll prepare revenue month-end journals and reconciliations for Snapchat's ad revenue, Lens Studio partnerships, and Spectacles initiatives, ensuring US GAAP and ASC 606 compliance amid rapid product evolution. You'll drive automation and process improvements for our revenue-to-cash cycle, collaborating daily with cross-functional teams on non-standard deals, new AR features, and content arrangements. By gaining deep insights into Snap's camera-first operations, you'll deliver variance analysis, reporting materials, and SOX controls that uphold the integrity of our financial statements. You'll thrive by applying technical accounting expertise to cutting-edge challenges like new payment methods and AR product launches, partnering with Technical Accounting and stakeholders to document impacts and implement robust processes. Supporting audits and ad hoc projects, you'll contribute to Snap's mission in a "Default Together" environment fostering in-person collaboration 4+ days a week. What You'll Do

  • Prepare revenue month-end journals and associated reconciliations, ensuring compliance with Company policies and US GAAP
  • Drive revenue to cash process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and system capabilities
  • Develop in-depth understanding of Snap's operations, including Snapchat, Lens Studio, and Spectacles, to prepare monthly analysis and variance explanations
  • Prepare materials for internal and external reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Apply ASC 606 knowledge to non-standard transactions, new AR product offerings, and content partner deals, documenting technical accounting impacts
  • Collaborate with Technical Accounting team on complex revenue issues
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on non-standard deals, new payment methods, and product launches to align on controls and reporting
  • Implement and maintain SOX-compliant controls with proper process documentation
  • Provide support for annual US financial statement audits, internal audits, and statutory audits
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, user acceptance testing, and revenue-related projects as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent years of experience
  • 3+ years of experience as an accounting professional
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with specific experience in Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
  • Experience preparing month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Oracle, Salesforce, or Ironclad
  • Ability to support audits including US financial statement, internal, and statutory audits
  • Demonstrated experience implementing SOX controls and process documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA License, or in progress
  • Big 4 firm experience
  • Fortune 500 and/or private company experience with a focus on Revenue Recognition
  • Experience in technology or media companies, particularly with ad revenue or AR products
  • Familiarity with revenue automation initiatives and cross-functional collaboration
