In this role, you will lead ads ranking at Snap, building cutting-edge ML recommendation models that boost user relevance, advertiser performance, and Snap revenue. Translate complex advertiser needs into ML requirements, guide elite Machine Learning Engineers, and collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to define robust eval metrics. Tackle high-impact challenges with strategic vision, developing roadmaps that align with Snap’s goals, integrating camera-first and AR innovations to create dynamic ad experiences that connect brands with our global community in fun, authentic ways. You will influence senior leadership and cross-functional partners through data-driven insights, clear communication of technical concepts, and proven outcomes. Use analytics to optimize products, inspire resilient teams, and mentor PMs while contributing to our collaborative Revenue Product organization. Thrive in ambiguity, make tough tradeoffs, and drive innovation that powers Snap’s creative ecosystem, ensuring ads feel native to Snapchat’s playful, real-time world.

What You'll Do

  • Lead ads ranking at Snap, improving relevance for users, performance for advertisers, and revenue for Snap through cutting-edge ads recommendation ML models commercialized as products
  • Translate advertiser and business needs into ML requirements and guide a team of world-class Machine Learning Engineers on high-impact problems
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science to define evaluation metrics for ads ranking systems
  • Tackle complex, high-impact challenges by identifying root causes, designing future-proof solutions, and driving results aligned with company-level objectives
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive vision, strategy, and roadmap for ads ranking, ensuring alignment with Snap’s broader business goals
  • Build trust and influence across senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Product Marketing, Marketing Science, Sales, and Solution Engineering
  • Use data and analytics to understand performance, identify growth patterns, and make informed decisions to optimize or sunset underperforming products
  • Inspire and lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results, fostering collaboration, adaptability, and resilience
  • Mentor and guide less experienced PMs, contribute to recruiting efforts, and build a strong, collaborative Revenue Product organization
  • Integrate camera technology and AR innovations into ads ranking to enhance creative, immersive advertising experiences on Snapchat

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 8+ years of experience building and shipping products at a technology company
  • OR a Masters and 7+ years of experience
  • Prior ads experience
  • Strong understanding of ML fundamentals
  • Experience with performance ads and industry best practices
  • Ability to execute and deliver impact in ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience shipping internet-scale ML recommender products through the end-to-end product lifecycle with materialized impact
  • Prior ads ranking experience
  • Hands-on modeling experience in ML
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in revenue-generating products
  • Background in camera or AR-enhanced advertising products
