The Spectacles team is at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of camera technology by overlaying computing on the real world with world-class hardware and R&D. Join our Spectacles Software team as a Technical Program Manager, where you’ll work closely with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver best-in-class features and software experiences for next-generation AR devices in our creative, innovative culture. As a TPM, you will coordinate cross-functional software projects, manage schedules and dependencies, and ensure successful delivery of software components powering Snap’s hardware ecosystem. Partner with teams across OS platforms to plan and track high-quality releases for cutting-edge technologies like camera, audio, video, graphics, display, sensors, and firmware. Drive project execution by creating detailed schedules, monitoring milestones, managing dependencies, and escalating risks or blockers to keep AR innovation on track. Facilitate alignment through meetings, status updates, and documentation while supporting collaboration between hardware, firmware, and application software teams. Identify risks, propose mitigations, and drive resolutions to maintain momentum. Champion process improvements in software development and project tracking, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, clear communication, and disciplined execution in our fast-paced, evolving environment focused on AR and camera breakthroughs.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with feature development teams across OS platforms to plan, track, and deliver high-quality software releases for technologies like camera, audio, video, graphics, display, sensors, and firmware
  • Drive execution of well-defined projects by creating schedules, tracking milestones, dependencies, and escalating risks or blockers
  • Facilitate meetings, status updates, and documentation to keep stakeholders aligned on progress and decisions
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between hardware, firmware, and application software teams
  • Identify and communicate program risks, propose mitigation plans, and follow through to resolution
  • Help improve internal software development processes and project tracking methodologies
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, clear communication, and strong program discipline
  • Coordinate software projects for Snap’s next-generation AR devices, ensuring best-in-class features and experiences
  • Manage schedules and dependencies to deliver software components powering Snap’s hardware ecosystem
  • Enhance communication flows across engineering, product, and design teams in the Spectacles organization

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of experience in technical program or project management within a software or hardware organization
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycles, tools, and release processes
  • Familiarity with agile development tools and processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required to support software bring-ups and validation activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting programs in consumer electronics or hardware-software integration
  • Exposure to technologies such as camera systems, multimedia software (video, audio), embedded software
  • Exposure to AR/VR software is a plus
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Knowledge of project tracking and version control tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git)
