What are my responsibilities?

• System design and software development activities for Industrial Communication Proof of Concept projects

• Taking part in the complete Proof of Concept cycle for Industrial Communication

• Producing high quality project deliverables within planned time and effort with international team

• Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards, and guidelines

 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• BSc., MSc. Or PhD in Computer Science, Electronics, Control Engineering or related areas

• Proven 3+ years of experience in software development

• Development experience in Linux environment is a must

• Experience in development of industrial communication network protocols, tools, and libraries (Switching & Routing Protocols, Netlink, Netfilter, Iproute2, CONFD, NETCONF, SNMP, etc.)

• Eager to research and try new technologies

• Strong knowledge in C / C++

• Experience with source control systems (GIT)

• Open minded and highly collaborative team player

• Very good command of English

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in virtualization technologies (Linux KVM, QEMU, Libvirt, HyperV, VirtualBox, Vagrant, etc.) is a plus

• OOP knowledge is a plus

• Knowledge in software life cycle and agile methodologies is appreciated

• Experience in Linux kernel driver development and U-boot is a plus

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
