Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Lead the design and development of automated testing frameworks validating functional equivalence across database implementations
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into developer workflows for automated unit test generation and edge-case discovery
• Build contract testing frameworks ensuring API and data consistency during migrations
• Implement change data capture mechanisms using MongoDB listeners and RDBMS triggers
• Develop state comparison algorithms with pattern-based exclusions for database validation
• Contribute production-ready code to the modernization infrastructure stack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product roadmap delivery
• Participate in code reviews and technical design document reviews
• Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team recruitment

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal candidate brings 2-3 years of commercial software development with strong JVM language experience (Java preferred, Spring ecosystem). You must have hands-on expertise in:

• Spring Boot, MongoDB, JDBC/JPA for enterprise applications
• Relational and document data modeling (Postgres/MySQL + MongoDB)
• LLM integration for test automation workflows
• Change data capture, event-driven database interception, and state comparison
• Experience building developer tools and complex testing frameworks
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and their complexities

Success Timeline: Within 3 months, familiarize with MongoDB's modernization stack and contribute to code reviews. By 6 months, deliver large-scale features. Within 12 months, become a key contributor leading complex projects independently.
