Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Build and design new features for MongoDB Atlas, enhancing multi-cloud database capabilities.
• Contribute to and lead complex technical projects in distributed systems engineering.
• Work with stakeholders throughout MongoDB to build our product roadmap and innovative offerings.
• Collaborate with customers and support engineers to fix issues and join our on-call rotation.
• Develop codebase, best practices, and design principles alongside talented team members.
• Foster an inclusive and respectful work environment guided by MongoDB's Core Values.
• Engineer solutions interfacing with AWS, Azure, and GCP for global cluster deployments.
• Drive high-availability and performance optimizations for NoSQL workloads.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this Software Engineer, Atlas Clusters role at MongoDB, we're seeking engineers with proven expertise in modern cloud-native development:

• 3+ years professional software development experience building large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Proficiency in compiled languages like Go, Java, or C# for high-performance applications.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Demonstrated ability to lead launches of critical features and maintain them in production environments.
• Excellent communication skills, curiosity, collaboration, and motivation to tackle tough problems.

Success Measures: In 3 months, ship code to production and solve key challenges. By 6 months, contribute to major projects. Within 12 months, design features, lead development, and become a system expert.
