Role Overview

As a Software Engineer III, ITC in Nike's Data & AI team, you'll design and deliver robust data solutions that fuel Nike's global operations. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will focus on end-to-end data engineering excellence:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Lakehouse architecture and Data Mesh principles.
• Build and optimize data pipelines with tools like Apache Spark and Apache Airflow, ensuring top-tier data quality and reliability.
• Develop SDKs, APIs, and microservices to enable enterprise-wide analytics and decision-making.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
• Implement software best practices, data governance, platform observability, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive team-wide technical excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and data platforms.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python, Java, C++, SQL, and related technologies.
• Deep hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data tools like Databricks, Snowflake, AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow.
• Solid knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, Data Mesh principles, data governance, and modern data pipelines.
• Track record of delivering scalable, API-first services and managing infrastructure programmatically.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical skills, plus experience guiding junior engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in agile, fast-paced settings.
