RESUME AND JOB
CrowdStrike
CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, protecting the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission has remained unwavering: stop breaches before they happen. We've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform, the Falcon platform, which processes nearly 3 trillion events per day—a volume that's growing daily. Our customers across all industries rely on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, communities safe, and lives moving forward. As a mission-driven company, we foster a remote-first culture that emphasizes flexibility, autonomy, and a relentless focus on innovation, customer commitment, and team collaboration.
CrowdStrike is seeking a highly technical Software Engineering Manager - Observability to elevate our metrics and tracing capabilities to the next level. This role is pivotal in developing infrastructure services that empower CrowdStrike's engineering teams to embrace a full DevOps model. Based in Aarhus, Denmark, this hybrid position offers the best of both worlds: collaborative office environments in one of our key European hubs and the flexibility of remote work. If you have experience building distributed teams and working with open-source projects in large-scale deployments, this is your chance to lead impactful work at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation.
Manage a growing team of engineers dedicated to building high-quality observability platforms. Foster a collaborative environment through regular retrospectives, capacity planning, and team meetings that prioritize high-fidelity discussions and transparent communication.
Participate in architecting large-scale distributed tracing and metrics platforms tailored for CrowdStrike's service teams. Review, provide feedback, and approve new design proposals to ensure robust, scalable solutions.
Lead 'lunch and learn' demos for proof-of-concepts (POCs) and design sessions to explore new architectures. Promote flexible working arrangements while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through transparent communication.
Candidates must have hands-on experience in Observability and Tracing with tools like Otel, Tempo, or Sentry, as well as Observability and Metrics using Prometheus, Thanos, or similar. Proficiency in software development, especially building Kubernetes operators with Python, Bash, or Go, is essential. Familiarity with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments, cloud operations on AWS and GCP, and practices like TDD, CI/CD, and Chaos Engineering is required.
Bring 8+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record of building and managing distributed teams. Bonus points for rock-solid communication skills, confidence paired with the prudence to seek team input, contributions to open-source projects, on-call experience, and knowledge of SRE, DevOps, and GitOps practices.
At CrowdStrike, we offer market-leading compensation and equity awards that reflect our position as a top employer in tech. Our comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs support your holistic health. Enjoy competitive vacation and holidays for recharge, paid parental and adoption leaves, and professional development opportunities available to all employees. Build connections through Employee Networks, geographic groups, and volunteer initiatives.
