Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

As a MongoDB Solutions Architect, you'll tackle complex opportunities requiring in-depth technical evaluation. Your core responsibilities include:

• Design and Architect: Create scalable, high-performance applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB Atlas.
• Customer Advising: Guide customers on proven architecture patterns and optimization strategies while clearly communicating MongoDB's business value.
• Sales Partnership: Collaborate with sales teams through account planning, opportunity prioritization, technical discovery, demos, proofs of value, and presentations.
• Demand Generation: Drive pipeline growth through self-initiated technical campaigns, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
• Technical Leadership: Own technical aspects of deals including sizing, documentation, and solution validation.
• Customer Success: Build champions, foster relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction and adoption.
• Innovation: Relay field feedback to product teams and mentor fellow Solutions Consultants.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, product, and engineering teams to execute complete deal cycles.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal Solutions Architect candidate brings a unique blend of technical expertise and customer-facing experience:

• 5-8 years of industry experience, including 2+ years in customer-facing roles
• 2+ years professional experience with Python, Node.js, SQL, Java, C#, or C/C++
• Hands-on experience building scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises environments
• Proven track record reviewing complex architectures and providing modernization guidance
• Exceptional presentation skills for communicating with C-level executives and technical teams
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional sales teams through complete deal cycles
• Fluency in German and English (mandatory for Hamburg location)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; willingness to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications: MongoDB or cloud provider certifications, technical pre-sales experience, database programming, data engineering, AI/ML projects, and knowledge of sales methodologies like MEDDPICC.
