Our Solutions Architects guide customers from startups to the world's largest enterprises in designing reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB. You'll work closely with sales executives, taking direct responsibility for customer success through software design, deployment, and operations. Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

• Design and Architect: Create scalable, performant applications and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB Atlas and NoSQL methodologies.
• Customer Advising: Provide expert guidance on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and clearly articulate MongoDB's business value to stakeholders.
• Sales Partnership: Collaborate with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization, technical discovery, demos, proofs of value, and documentation.
• Demand Generation: Drive technical initiatives, participate in industry trade shows, and execute account-based marketing events to generate pipeline.
• Customer Success: Build champions, foster relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout their MongoDB journey.
• Innovation Leadership: Relay field feedback to product teams and mentor fellow Solutions Consulting team members.
• Technical Deal Ownership: Lead end-to-end technical aspects of complex opportunities requiring in-depth analysis.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with sales, product, and engineering teams to execute complete deal cycles.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal Solutions Architect candidate brings proven technical expertise and customer-facing experience:

• 5-8 years of industry experience, including 2+ years in customer-facing roles
• 2+ years professional experience with Python, Node.js, SQL, Java, C#, or C/C++
• Hands-on experience building scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises
• Demonstrated success reviewing complex architectures and recommending modernization paths
• Exceptional communication skills to convey technical concepts to executives
• Experience with sales methodologies like MEDDPICC or Command of the Message (preferred)
• MongoDB Certification or Cloud Provider Certification highly valued
• Fluency in German and English required; up to 25% travel

Bonus experience includes data engineering, AI/ML projects, database programming, and technical pre-sales roles.
