Key Responsibilities at MongoDB

As a Solutions Architect, you'll tackle complex opportunities requiring in-depth technical evaluation. Your impact includes:

• Design and Architect: Create scalable, performant applications and infrastructure leveraging MongoDB Atlas for enterprise projects.
• Customer Advising: Guide architecture patterns, optimization strategies, and clearly communicate MongoDB's business value to stakeholders.
• Sales Partnership: Collaborate on account planning, opportunity prioritization, technical discovery, demos, proofs of value, and deal execution.
• Demand Generation: Drive technical initiatives, participate in trade shows, and execute account-based marketing events in Stuttgart and DACH region.
• Customer Success: Build champions, foster relationships, and ensure long-term satisfaction with MongoDB deployments.
• Innovation Leadership: Relay field feedback to product teams and mentor fellow Solutions Consultants.
• Technical Ownership: Handle sizing, documentation, and end-to-end technical leadership in sales cycles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, product, and engineering teams to accelerate customer adoption of MongoDB solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements

The ideal Solutions Architect candidate brings proven expertise in modern software architecture and customer success:

• 5-8 years industry experience, including 2+ years in customer-facing roles
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Python, Node.js, SQL, Java, C#, or similar languages
• Proven track record implementing scalable distributed systems in cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises
• Experience reviewing complex architectures and recommending technology improvements
• Exceptional communication skills for technical and business audiences
• Cross-functional sales team collaboration experience
• Fluency in German and English (mandatory for Stuttgart role)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Up to 25% travel within DACH region

Preferred Qualifications: MongoDB or cloud certifications, technical pre-sales experience, database programming, data engineering, AI/ML projects, and sales methodologies like MEDDPICC.
